Electrical Design Engineer

The role of an Electrical Design Engineer is to develop and implement electrical systems for commercial and public projects. This involves designing the layouts of mechanical and electrical plantrooms, single-line drawings, mechanical and electrical services routings, and service points.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical system designs for commercial and public projects
  • Design layouts of mechanical and electrical plantrooms
  • Create single-line drawings and mechanical and electrical services routings
  • Perform consultations with local authorities and agencies
  • Prepare tender specifications and review tender drawings
  • Manage project progress and identify non-conformance of contractor's work at site
  • Manage testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore)
  • Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in carrying out designs of electrical services, project management, and supervision
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Conversant with the Codes of Practice and regulations related to building services
  • Team player and ability to work with and manage clients and contractors
