Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Registered Nurses/Enrolled Nurses in providing basic care planned for patients, including assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, and skin care.
  • Change bed linen and make up beds to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Attend to the skin care of helpless and immobile patients with stable conditions, ensuring their skin remains healthy and free from pressure sores.
  • Assist with lifting, moving, and transporting patients, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  • Serve diet and remove meal trays, ensuring patients receive their meals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Help patients with good swallowing reflexes and able to drink and eat normally, assisting with feeding and hydration as needed.
  • Assist Registered Nurses/Enrolled Nurses to observe the general condition of patients and report any unusual observations to the nurse-in-charge.
  • Give and remove bedpans and urinals for patients, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Assist with general duties, including answering call bells and providing assistance within the constraints of your responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing or care assistant role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
