Junior Product Designer Job Overview

This role involves supporting the design and development of innovative jewelry that aligns with our brand's vision and customer identity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to inform design direction and contribute to the creation of mood boards, design decks, and seasonal concept presentations.
  • Develop and propose jewelry concepts aligned with our vision and assortment plan, working closely with the Creative Director and Product Design team.
  • Learn and apply CAD tools to translate sketches into 3D models and technical drawings, as well as prepare tech packs and design specifications for sampling and production.
  • Assist in creating prototypes, including working with 3D printing processes, and refine designs during sampling stages in collaboration with the Product Design and Product Development team.
  • Incorporate feedback into revisions of sketches, 3D models, and technical documentation, and participate in cross-functional meetings offering input from a design perspective.
  • Maintain organized design records, references, and material libraries, and assist in compiling decks, reports, and design documentation for internal use.
Requirements:
  • A graduate of a product design or industrial design course is preferred, along with experience in a product design or jewelry design role.
  • Foundational knowledge of jewelry design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes is essential.
  • Familiarity with jewelry CAD software and 3D prototyping - Rhino and ZBrush are preferred.
  • Strong sketching and visualization skills, with attention to detail and creativity, are required.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines while maintaining design quality is crucial.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for learning and growing in jewelry design is necessary.
