Job Title: Engineering Maintenance Specialist Job DescriptionThe role of the engineering maintenance specialist involves performing day-to-day operations of engineering in line with Conrad standards, brand pillars, and prescribed Hilton policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems throughout the hotel are working satisfactorily. The specialist will also fabricate, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, structures, and equipment, including sanitary, plumbing, waste, and choke manhole systems. The specialist will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all mechanical equipment, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, heat recovery, fresh air supply, and exhaust air fans. They will also install or repair meters, starters, switchgears, fittings, wiring, vacuum machines, cables, and all electrical, gas, and fuel-operated machines throughout the hotel. The specialist will inspect and replace all fused lamps inside and outside the hotel, including grounds, gardens, and swimming pool lights. They will report and maintain television sets, antenna, signal booster, and amplifiers. Additionally, the specialist will observe and report any equipment, switchgear, or wiring that is not functioning properly and rectify them. They will check and conduct weekly test runs on generator sets and battery water levels, engine oil, indicator water, etc. The specialist will also maintain daily log sheets for reading temperatures and pressures of electrical, air-conditioning systems, water supply, and heat recovery systems. They will check and repair defective flushing systems, toilet bowls, urinals, basins, and ventilation pipes. Furthermore, the specialist will check and repair all valves for hot and cold water systems and chilled water systems. They will check all water pumps systems, heat recovery, flush tanks, water tank heaters, and swimming pools, inclusive of all valves for hot and cold water systems and chilled water systems. The specialist will perform duties as per safety and fire operation drills when and where necessary. They will respond promptly and positively to all guest requests, even if it does not directly concern the department or job. Responsibilities will also include coordinating and reporting to maintenance officers on job assignments and informing them of movement to enable easy and quick locating in case of an emergency. The specialist will assist in keeping workshop areas, plant rooms, and other equipment rooms clean at all times. Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities may be assigned by superiors.
