Oracle Database Professional

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle database professional to join our team. As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration, including experience with Oracle RAC, database installations, upgrades, and patches. You will also be responsible for implementing and managing backup and recovery strategies, monitoring database performance, and tuning for optimal efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle database environments
  • Implement and manage Oracle RAC environments
  • Perform database installations, upgrades, and patches
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies
  • Monitor database performance and tune for optimal efficiency
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
  • Automate common database maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design
  • Implement and maintain database security measures
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  • Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
  • Proven experience implementing and managing Oracle RAC
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) for automation

Preferred Skills:

  • Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
  • Familiarity with database compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA)
  • Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
