Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely collection and delivery of import/export cargoes.
  • Maintain constant communication with traffic control teams via radio or other means.
  • Verify and handle documentation accurately, including delivery notes and pick-up orders.
  • Endorse permits at customs checkpoints as required.
  • Follow all applicable regulations and procedures, including those related to Import/Export/Trucking.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and ensure cleanliness at all times.
  • Handle cargo with care, checking and tallying items properly.
  • Report any cargo discrepancies or vehicle damages immediately to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Class 4/5 license.
  • Have at least three years' experience in Prime Mover driving.
  • Familiarity with PSA Import/Export/Trucking procedures is essential.
  • Familiarity with container yard operations is also necessary.
