Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Officer

The Occupational Health and Safety Officer is a critical role that ensures the well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors on our construction sites. As an OH&S Officer, you will be responsible for identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate them.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement control measures;
    • Develop and maintain safety procedures and policies in line with industry standards;
    • Provide training and awareness programs for employees and contractors on OH&S procedures and protocols;
    • Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
    • Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and near-miss events;
    • Conduct investigations into incidents and provide recommendations for improvement;
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills;
    • Foster a safety culture within the organization by promoting awareness and encouraging reporting of incidents and near-misses.
  • Requirements:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or in the construction industry;
    • Diploma in Engineering, Environmental, Health, or Safety; or equivalent qualification;
    • Valid registration as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM;
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team;
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software quickly;
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
