
IT Business Development Specialist

As an IT Business Development Specialist, you will research and analyze opportunities to improve our technology solutions. You will conduct analysis, prepare recommendations, and facilitate the implementation of solutions that meet business needs. This role provides opportunities for continuous evolution and innovation, encouraging exposure to new skillsets, knowledge, and experience. The outcome will directly impact the speed of achieving organizational objectives and quality of deliverables.
Responsibilities include serving as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear understanding and translation of requirements into functional specifications. You will support product owners, subject matter experts, engineers, and architects in solutioning conversations, leveraging resources and skill-sets within and across work-streams. Conduct prioritization with product owners, play scrum master roles, and perform sprint planning. Ensure squad members have accurate understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria, delivery is adequately tested, and UAT sign-off is secured for deployment into production. Use data to elaborate and justify, escalate risks and issues as necessary, convey complex concepts and information, influencing key stakeholders to consider alternative perspectives and providing technical inputs to inform decisions.
Specialized depth of expertise in technical and functional knowledge is required, applying and integrating knowledge from the discipline and domain to devise effective approaches to work products. Contributes to setting standards through expertise in own job discipline, impacting others' deliverables. May lead medium to large size projects or work streams with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity, with multiple teams representing different interests. Provides guidance to others, may serve as a point of escalation for professional advice, gains guidance from Lead(s).
