Technical Leadership and Architecture

We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineering Lead to lead our technical direction across data engineering, backend, frontend, and MLOps domains. This individual will provide oversight of DevOps practices and infrastructure management, review and approve system architecture, design patterns, and technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of code review processes across all engineering domains
  • Review and approval of production deployments and changes
  • Ensuring robust testing practices including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Management of application monitoring and maintenance of service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Leadership of incident response and troubleshooting for critical issues
  • Review and approval of CI/CD pipeline designs and automation strategies
  • Oversight of infrastructure architecture decisions and cloud resource planning
  • Guidance on security and compliance implementation in infrastructure
  • Review of disaster recovery and backup strategies
  • Ensuring proper monitoring and alerting systems are in place
  • Guidance on data pipeline architecture and implementation
  • Oversight of ML model development, deployment, and monitoring
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance standards are met
  • Direct the implementation of MLOps practices and tools
  • Mentorship and guidance of technical growth of team members across all domains
  • Conducting technical interviews and participating in hiring decisions
  • Planning and overseeing onboarding of new team members
  • Identifying training needs and facilitating knowledge sharing
  • Maintenance of technical documentation and system architecture diagrams
  • Establishment and refinement of development workflows and processes
  • Oversight of JIRA ticket management and workflow
  • Ensure proper documentation of incidents, changes, and solutions
  • Review and approval of operational runbooks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of data pipeline architecture and MLOps practices
  • Ability to mentor and guide technical growth of team members
