Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud platform team, you will design and develop high-quality distributed cloud software applications to manage, analyze, and interpret Next Generation DNA Sequencing (NGS) data.

Your responsibilities will include evaluating and implementing suitable alternatives for private cloud deployments, developing and maintaining .NET-based microservices, and demonstrating a passion for clean code, loose coupling, and clean architectures.

You will work closely with our team to lead joint design sessions, participate in pair programming, design and code reviews, and show a passion for leading-edge development practices such as Continuous Integration/Delivery, DevOps, and REST-based SOA.

You will also be responsible for developing sustainable, automated deployment and build processes and practicing software engineering principles such as agile methodologies, scrum, and continuous integration.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need extensive experience in cloud computing platforms such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google GCP, and using Docker. Ideally, you will have knowledge of orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Swarm, Mesos, etc.

You will also need extensive knowledge and experience with .NET Core, C#, or other object-oriented languages, building and consuming REST APIs, RDBMS such as AWS-RDS, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and message queues such as AWS-SQS, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.

Additional qualifications include software engineering principles such as agile methodologies, scrum, DevOps, and continuous integration.
