Job Title: Cybersecurity Governance Manager at Marriott International

JOB SUMMARY

The selected candidate will oversee the management of vendor security risks and cyber threats across the Asia Pacific region, excluding China. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive risk evaluations, performing application security assessments, and offering remediation strategies. The role also requires building and maintaining relationships with service providers, collaborating with various stakeholders to formulate strategies for safeguarding corporate information and assets, and ensuring that project objectives are in line with business goals.

Furthermore, the candidate will collaborate with colleagues to execute cybersecurity risk management initiatives, engage with business unit members regarding cybersecurity issues, and support the Asia Pacific security program by ensuring adherence to security policies and standards.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/certification
  • 5+ years of experience in security governance, risk management, and compliance, with at least 2 years focused on third-party security risk management
  • Fluency in English
  • Possession of one or more current information security certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, or CISSP

Preferred:

  • Security certifications such as GWAPT, GPEN, AWS Associate Architect, AWS Professional Architect, or experience with PCI

  • Experience in leading technical teams in an outsourced environment
  • Proficiency in evaluating system architecture and familiarity with security standards like OWASP Top 10 and SANS 25

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Vendor Risk Management & Cyber Risk Management

  • Develop and manage vendor information security risk compliance programs
  • Evaluate security controls of third-party vendors
  • Conduct application security assessments
  • Document controls gap analysis and risk evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
  • Identify and address security threats and vulnerabilities

Managing Projects and Priorities

  • Promote leaders' vision for product and service delivery
  • Create new project plans
  • Assess operational quality
  • Support regulatory inspections and raise awareness of cyber regulations

Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders

  • Understand and fulfill stakeholders' requirements
  • Communicate effectively

  • Support performance and budget objectives

Providing Technical Support and Consultation

  • Enhance processes and programs
