Senior Tunnel Engineer

At SINOHYDRO CORPORATION LIMITED (SINGAPORE BRANCH), we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tunnel Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our underground construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the bored tunnelling operation, ensuring that all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare method statements, safe work procedures, risk register, daily/weekly reports, tunnel progress reports, and other tunnel-related documentation.
  • Provide engineering supervision for bored tunnelling operation, including final ring selection and selection of key.
  • Prepare and carry out presentations of tunnelling works prior to commencement of works.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and supervision of bored tunnelling works.
  • Supervise works on a TBM machine, controlling the tunnel labour in excavation and ring building.
  • Make preparations for CHI, including documents for submission and site preparations.
  • Provide technical guidance for cross passage and pump sump construction.
  • Maintain site records of excavated volumes, grouting records, and other construction work.
  • Maintain and monitor quality control and records.
  • Plan and monitor and track site progress, manpower mobilization, and equipment deployment.
  • Ensure job safety analysis and site safety compliance.
  • Coordinate various subcontractors to ensure work runs smoothly.
  • Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented at the work site.
  • Liaise with authorities, consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of bored tunnelling experience.
  • Good computer skills to fulfill the job functions (Office365 and Auto-Cad, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards.
  • Able to do shift work (12 hours).
  • Good team player with the ability to lead and multi-tasking.
What We Offer:

SGD 6000- SGD8000 per month.
