Childcare Financial Assistance Officer

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous individual to fill this Childcare Financial Assistance Officer position. As a key team member, you will be responsible for evaluating applicants' eligibility for childcare financial assistance and recommending the appropriate amount and duration of support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate applicants' eligibility based on our scheme criteria: You will review applicants' information and assess their eligibility for childcare financial assistance based on our established guidelines.
  • Process online applications: You will navigate through different systems to process online applications and manage appeals and queries from parents and childcare operators.
  • Manage appeals and queries: You will provide administrative support to the team by managing appeals and queries from parents and childcare operators.
  • Work closely with colleagues: You will collaborate with colleagues in the childcare services department to ensure that all applications are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide administrative support: You will provide administrative support to the team by triaging emails and appeals.
  • Compile data and report findings: You will compile data and report findings in PowerPoint and Excel formats.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline: A bachelor's degree in any field is required for this role.
  • Attention to detail with strong numerical skills: You must have excellent numerical skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Previous administrative experience: Previous administrative experience, preferably in grants processing, is preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • Childcare management: You must have knowledge of childcare management practices and procedures.
  • Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel): You must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Social services and social work: Knowledge of social services and social work principles is desirable.
