Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and oversee the health, safety, and environment (HSE) management plan to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client project standards.
  • Collaborate with clients and joint venture partners on reporting, audits, and site visits to ensure seamless coordination and effective risk management.
  • Promote a positive HSE culture across the project site by providing training, coaching, and guidance to staff and contractors.
  • Review and approve safe work method statements and job safety risk assessments submitted by contractors to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of HSE performance, including safety statistics and lead/lag indicators, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • A registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries.
  • Specialist Diploma in WSH or other MOM-recognized qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations, codes of practice, and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with management, staff, and contractors.
