Ceramics Studio Technician

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ceramics Studio Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading ceramics classes and workshops, creating visually appealing displays and installations for exhibitions and events.

  • This technician will oversee kiln loading and unloading, firing ceramic pieces, and designing AIA ceramic products for retail purposes.
  • Maintaining inventories, ordering supplies, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment are key responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a 3D art-related field, preferably pottery, is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have intermediate knowledge of ceramics, including throwing, trimming, and glazing techniques.
  • Experience in teaching ceramics is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
