Project Manager - High Voltage GIS Substation

Our organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of high voltage GIS switchgear indoor substation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality and EHS standards throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive project completion on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement a rolling 3-week lookahead execution plan in collaboration with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Manage customer expectations and lead daily coordination with subcontractor teams, ensuring that work complies with technical specifications, schedule commitments, and contractual obligations.
  • Submit weekly progress reports covering work status, upcoming milestones, manpower, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory, client, and customer (EHS) standards on-site, plus Monitor and report key EHS KPIs

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in site management, with specific focus on High Voltage GIS substation projects (66kV and above).
  • Proven track record in managing both installation and commissioning phases.
  • Strong knowledge of high voltage equipment (GIS, transformers, protection panels, etc.).
  • Awareness of EHS management systems and legal site compliance.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce safety KPIs and audit findings.
  • Proficient in project planning tools.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven team player, able to collaborate across functions and cultures.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and travel as required.

Interested candidates should have excellent leadership skills and strong ability to manage complex projects from conception through to handover to end users. Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, strategic vision, and technical expertise are essential. Proven track record of delivering high-quality results with tight deadlines is highly desirable.
