Investment Risk Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Investment Risk Manager to join our team. As an integral part of our Risk & Performance Management Department, you will play a crucial role in improving the efficiency of risk-taking and providing an independent assessment of risk and performance across various portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, measure and monitor risks to ensure proper concentration management
  • Understand linkages between performance, risk and exposures and apply them to GIC's portfolio and relevant asset classes
  • Gain appreciation of risk methodologies and risk management policies and their application to GIC's portfolio and relevant asset classes
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments and assess their potential impact on investments
  • Independently assess risk-reward of large deals using qualitative and quantitative measures
  • Present analysis and communicate assessment of strategy risk-reward to key stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in analytical or investment-related roles
  • BSc or MSc in Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting or quantitatively inclined field
  • Strong analytical background and genuine interest in problem-solving
  • Persuasive communication skills with ability to articulate ideas, market views and technical topics
  • Good team player in fast-paced environment
  • Desire to constantly learn and upgrade knowledge base and skillset
