Job Description

Tree care specialists play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of trees in urban environments. As an arborist, you will be responsible for executing tree care management programs, conducting thorough tree inspections, and prescribing remedies for tree health problems.

The role is multifaceted and requires a deep understanding of arboriculture principles, including tree identification, pruning techniques, and plant nutrition. You will also assist in the preparation of comprehensive Tree Assessment Reports, which will inform decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed reports on tree assessments, highlighting key findings and recommended treatments.
  • Respond to urgent and emergency tree matters outside regular working hours, prioritizing the safety of people and property.
  • Conduct thorough tree inspections, assessing tree health and identifying potential risks.
  • Prescribe treatment plans to address tree health issues, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders as needed.
  • Implement tree pruning and maintenance programs with contractors and supervisors, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on arboricultural matters, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • An English-speaking Certified Arborist designation, demonstrating expertise in arboriculture principles and practices.
  • ISA Certified Arborist status with at least 5 years of relevant experience, showcasing your ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.
  • A Bachelor's degree or postgraduate diploma in a relevant field or equivalent qualification, evidencing your academic achievement and commitment to lifelong learning.
