Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database administration, particularly with PostgreSQL and Sybase.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions. They will also be tasked with monitoring database performance, tuning queries, and optimizing indexes.

In addition to technical skills, the Senior Database Specialist will possess excellent communication and documentation skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • 6-8 years of experience as a PostgreSQL and/or Sybase DBA
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning, monitoring tools, and database internals
  • Scripting experience in Shell, Python, or T-SQL
