Role/ Department:
The Consultant - Transfer Agent (TA) is a key role within our Transfer Agency Department, responsible for overseeing the performance of TA activities outsourced to offshore centers. This involves ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks by TA partners, including dealing, registration, settlement, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee outsourced functions to ensure timely and accurate completion by TA partners in offshore locations.
- Liaise with offshore TA partners to ensure tasks performed are in accordance with the fund's requirements, Northern Trust's procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Highlight and timely escalate material issues and exceptions to management.
- Respond and assist in problems and critical issues as escalated by the offshore TA team, as well as those received from clients.
- Assist clients/investors to ensure all queries are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
- Prepare and follow up on activity associated with audit/review.
- Prepare service review packs and attend service review meetings with offshore TA partners on their performance.
- Complete checklists and prepare dashboards, End of Day Handover reports, and any other management reporting as required.
- Perform additional work where volume or absence requires such workload to be completed.
- Support projects and any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the TA manager.
Qualifications:
- Required language - verbal and written English and Japanese.
- Experience in day-to-day Transfer Agent processes and procedures on investment funds.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications relating to designated areas of responsibility.
