Radiology Assistant Role
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support during radiological procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend to patients during radiological procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
• Assist radiographers in examination rooms, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
• Enter data accurately into Worklist and Radiology Information System, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
• Perform daily Equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) where required, prioritizing the smooth operation of equipment.
• Complete administration duties, including data collection as assigned, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
• Retrieve request forms from storage/system and disseminate them to requestors in a timely manner.
• Administer IV cannulation and venepuncture where required, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding duty, management plan, and blood taking as required, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
Requirements:
• Minimum O Level or Diploma in Nursing/Radiography, with relevant certifications preferred.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in software applications and systems used in healthcare settings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Possess good empathy and care towards patients, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient experience.
Desirable Skills:
• Strong psychology skills, with knowledge of preventive maintenance, treatment, radiation safety, administration, unity, data entry, protocol, interventions, mental health, nursing, and radiology.
