Demurrage Expert

Job Description

As a Demurrage Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing demurrage exposure for Gasoline desk trade. This involves analyzing and negotiating payables and receivables.

The role requires preparation of demurrage computations and timely submission of reports to relevant counterparts.

  1. Ensure prompt collection of outstanding claims and track incoming funds.
  2. Collaborate closely with cargo operators for efficient claims file management and documentation.
  3. Generate weekly/monthly demurrage status reports and handle monthly demurrage accruals.
  4. Coordinate with the contract desk on purchase and sales contracts, focusing on delivery nomination, Laytime, and demurrage clauses.
  5. Verify and endorse freight invoices for approval.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong analytical skills are required for this role, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
