About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineering Manager at SOLID M&Z PTE. LTD., you will play a crucial part in overseeing project execution, leading technical presentations, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee process mechanical work design, preparation of technical particulars, and control of mechanical work progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee project execution during design, construction, and testing for water and wastewater treatment works or process plant engineering and construction projects.
  • Lead technical presentations to clients and consultants, ensuring clear communication of project objectives and progress.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, client site technical representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers during project execution.
  • Process mechanical work design, including water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and pipelines.
  • Prepare and submit process mechanical technical particulars to consultants and clients, following up on submissions until approval.
  • Monitor and control process mechanical work progress with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to technical documentation and physical deliverables.
  • Assist the project manager with progressive monthly claims and payment responses with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Work closely with the project QS/PM to establish contractual scope and technical requirements for mechanical works, participating in quotation calls and assisting procurement teams.
  • Develop O&M manuals and as-built drawings for client handovers.
  • Support the project manager with project scheduling and manpower arrangements.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer with a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering. The ideal candidate should have at least 15 years of relevant experience in plant construction fields, preferably in the Water and Wastewater Industries in Singapore or Southeast Asia Region. Key skills include experience with water and sewerage pumping stations, pipe laying works, and knowledge of design/code of practices and software like Microsoft Office, CAD, BIM, and Project Scheduling.
