Service Technician

Job Description:

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and inspecting marine firefighting systems and equipment on board vessels. Your primary goal will be to ensure the equipment is functioning properly and that all safety regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain marine firefighting systems and equipment, including fire alarms, suppression systems, and fire extinguishers.
  • Perform annual inspections and testing to verify equipment functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with firefighting equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with vessel crews and ship staff to ensure effective maintenance and operation of firefighting systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintaining firefighting systems and equipment, preferably in the marine industry.
  • Knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced marine environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
