Secondary Level Support Staff

The role of a Secondary Level Support Staff is to provide assistance and support to students in a secondary school setting. This position requires the ability to work independently, be well-organized, and have excellent communication skills.

Job Description:

  • Supervise and educate students during arrival, departure, recess, lunchtime, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Monitor student absences and late arrivals, analyzing the data to inform educational decisions.
  • Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment by enforcing school rules and regulations.
  • Support teachers with lesson preparation, homework assistance, and study sessions.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, sports, and cultural events to promote student engagement and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Contribute to creating a positive school climate by promoting respect, tolerance, and student well-being.
  • Assist with exam administration, organization, and logistics.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience working with teenagers, preferably in an educational or supportive capacity.
  • Proficiency in French language (written and spoken) is preferred but not essential.
