As a key member of our project team, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Principal Construction Supervisor to oversee the successful execution of our construction projects. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to utilize their expertise in ensuring the high-quality delivery of complex civil engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience in major construction works, including deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, and flexible/rigid aircraft pavement. They will also have a proven track record in supervising and installing monitoring instruments and collating data.

We are looking for someone who is able to perform shift work and has excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with stakeholders. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations, and managing the Resident Technical Officers under their charge.

The successful candidate will be proficient in safety management systems and emergency preparedness protocols. They will also have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including construction drawings, procurement, and project management.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience with at least 3 years of experience in major construction works, including deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, and flexible/rigid aircraft pavement.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PEB.
  • Accredited as a RE with IES (Preferred).
  • Able to perform shift work.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the construction process to ensure high-quality delivery and compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Manage the Resident Technical Officers under their charge.
  • Coordinate with safety teams and provide an overview of WASH and aerodrome safety management systems.
  • Ensure all construction works do not impact or affect the operations of the client.
  • Verify reports and claims submitted by contractors.
  • Inspect the quality of work and materials delivered to the site.
  • Resolve main contractors' queries and coordinate works onsite.
  • Undertake any other duties related to the project as instructed by the SRE, OIC, or the Client.
