Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to serve as a Senior Trading Analyst.

  • Track and analyze market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and price movements related to the palm oil industry.
  • Monitor export/import data, weather patterns, government policies, and competing oils markets.
  • Develop comprehensive market reports for senior management and clients on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Maintain an extensive database of historical market information.
  • Support the trading team with forecasts, scenario analysis, and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Tracking and analyzing market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and price movements.
  • Monitoring export/import data, weather patterns, government policies, and competing oils markets.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly market reports.
  • Maintaining a database of historical market information.
  • Providing support to the trading team with forecasts, scenario analysis, and risk assessment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Agribusiness, Commodities, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Knowledge of the palm oil industry and commodity trading.
  • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and market research platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English (Malay is an advantage).
