Executive Director, Strategic Research

As Executive Director, Strategic Research at Nanyang Technological University, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and implementation of strategic research plans. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in strategic planning and corporate communications.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Support the conceptualisation and oversight of strategic research plans to enhance the university's standing as a leading international research institution.
- Oversight of ERFP Implementation: Assist in the oversight of the implementation of the 5th tranche of the Education Research Funding Programme (ERFP) to inform strategic research planning.
- Liaison and Coordination: Liaise with research centres, academic departments, and administrative units for downstream implementation of strategic research plans.
- Secretariat Support: Provide secretariat support for the organisation and coordination of strategic research retreats and meetings with external stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Education.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Support the Strategic Research Monitoring & Evaluation process, including half-yearly and KPI reporting.
- Reporting and Outreach: Coordinate Strategic Research Reporting, Information, Engagements, and Outreach efforts.
- A University degree.
- Preferably with 2-5 years of working experience in an educational or research institution, with experience in strategic planning and/or corporate communications.
- Possess excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate professionally and work with faculty and staff across various administrative units.
- Strong numerical skills and meticulous.
- Strong planning, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Able to maintain high standards of confidentiality of sensitive materials.
- Able to monitor compliance with policies and uphold governance of policies.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently under pressure and highly adaptable.
- Able to learn fast, multitask, and work within tight timelines.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of MS Office applications and willingness to learn or use new IT software and applications as and when required.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, benefits include chartered bus services from designated pick-up points to the university campus.
