Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading analysis of investment opportunities, researching and evaluating potential investments, and formulating and implementing investment strategies to achieve attractive risk-adjusted returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investment Analysis and Research
    • Lead analysis of investment opportunities across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real estate, and alternative investments.
    • Research and evaluate potential investments based on their risk-return profile, market trends, and financial performance.
    • Generate investment ideas and optimize investment processes.
    • Formulate and implement the investment strategies with a focus on alpha generation and attractive risk-adjusted returns through various market cycles.
    • Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee.
    • Regularly sharpen the team's investment thesis through deep tech industry and thematic research.
  • Fund and Portfolio Management
    • Recommending investment and disposal decisions for a portfolio of institution-sized capital, ensuring optimal asset allocation and risk management.
    • Track and analyze portfolio performance against benchmarks and industry standards. Prepare regular performance reports for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Due Diligence
    • Conduct due diligence on investment managers, funds, and direct investments.
    • Evaluate legal, financial, and operational aspects of potential investments.
  • Reporting and Compliance
    • Keep abreast of market developments, economic indicators, and regulatory changes while regularly updating senior management and stakeholders on fund performance.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Continuous Learning and Development
    • Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and investment strategies.
    • Continuously improve investment analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Support ad-hoc tasks relating to the operational build-out and developing the core of our growing firm.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent. CFA or CPA certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in Private Equity / Asset Management / Banking Companies.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Good knowledge in financial markets, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
  • Pro-active and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin for speaking and writing.
  • Excellent work ethic and sense of responsibility.
