Project Manager for Control Systems Installation and Commissioning

BRUNEL INTERNATIONAL SOUTH EAST ASIA PTE. LTD. is a leading provider of control systems and electrical system installation services in Singapore. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the successful installation and commissioning of our projects.
Job Description:
We are offering an attractive salary package of SGD $80,000 - $120,000 per annum for this role, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- To coordinate with our appointed contractors and ensure that all necessary documentation, including project schedules, method statements, risk assessments, safe work procedures, tooling lists, inspection checklists, and any other required documents, are prepared and submitted on time.
- To ensure that all design documentation is complete and provided to the contractor prior to the start of work to guarantee a smooth installation and commissioning process.
- To conduct pre-installation workshops with clients, facility owners, and contractors to resolve any conflicts identified and ensure clarity of work scope.
- To conduct the room 'handover take over' procedure from the respective facility owner before the start of work.
- To ensure compliance with project and health and safety requirements for all personnel working on the project, including employees and subcontractors.
- To obtain and approve all necessary permits to work before the commencement of work.
- To coordinate with clients and facility owners to ensure timely start of work and resolve any site installation issues that may occur during the site work.
- To supervise and direct contractors to ensure that all work is done as per design and in a safe manner.
- To proactively monitor and control project installation and commissioning work as per plan and highlight any issues in advance and lead in resolving them.
- To submit daily reports, reports of any issues identified during site work, and drive for a resolution plan, as well as any other reports or updates required by the PM/Integration Manager.
- To support commissioning activities as required.
- To ensure drawing markup reflects actual installation vs. design.
- To ensure site installation and commissioning teams adhere to project and safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor degree in Engineering or similar field.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
- At least 5 years' experience in site installation and commissioning work, involving control systems and electrical systems at a construction site.
- Working in confined space certification, work at height certification, and all Singapore regulatory certifications for working in a construction site preferred.
- Ability to recognize and proactively respond to dynamic site situations and liaise with necessary parties to resolve.
- Ability to relate with different groups of people at various levels of the organization.
- Pragmatic approach to scope of work and work environment.
- Familiar with local regulatory and project requirements for construction work in Singapore.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
- A collaborative approach to working, demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills.
