About the Role

Here, you'll create and communicate a strong mission for the E+M department that's integrated with the goals and vision of the Tuas. Your expertise will not only keep the gears turning but enable our operations to thrive.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a reliable manufacturing process that results in a safe working environment, high-quality product, lowest unit costs, and high equipment performance.
  • Lead site sustainability into medium- and longer-term site business plans, supporting site functions via the coordination of Glidepath and CAPEX for new engineering-led solutions to improving environmental performance.
  • Identify, plan, and implement cost-efficient, new engineering-based solutions to achieve environmental targets.
  • Ensure compliance of both local legislation and Reckitt Environmental Standard in Sustainability.
  • Translate strategies into operational goals and objectives, identify necessary resources, and lead the E+M department towards world-class operations.
  • Create a high-performance, externally focused operating culture throughout the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships inside and outside the organization.
  • Develop responsible leaders at all levels and high-output teams.
  • Manage site Capital Spend and implement processes that prioritize capital spending.
  • Lead adequate change in the organization to continuously adapt to a dynamic business environment.
  • Drive the use of technology in engineering, maintenance, and reliability engineering.
  • Build and maintain good relationships inside and outside the organization.
  • Foster individual development by identifying and arranging appropriate assignments, formal training, or other experiences.
  • Support activities that improve supply chain performance and reduce cost.

The Experience We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering/maintenance experience in the food/pharmaceutical industry with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in negotiations and structures of contracts and major agreements.
  • Experience in Automation systems, SCADA, PLC would be advantageous.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects ($200 K - $50 MM).
  • Experienced in project organization development and workforce management.
  • Exposure and understanding of local industry law and regulations.
  • Experience in reliability maintenance strategies.
  • Experience in factory safety management GMP, ISO 14001, ISO 18000, OSHA standard, and familiar with safety, health, and environmental laws and regulation.
  • Prior experience/responsibility for a major profit/loss center with capital expense and the criteria selection and prioritization of spending.
