Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiographer to join our team at the National University Polyclinics. As a Radiographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.

About the Role
  • Perform various radiographic examinations using C-arm fluoroscopy and Bone Mineral Densitometry machines during Orthopaedic procedural activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to radiation safety and infection control practices.
  • Assist Centre In-charge/Senior Principal Radiographer in guiding and supervising junior radiographers/assistants.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities (80%)
  1. Conduct Bone Mineral Densitometry and radiographic examinations as per established protocols.
  2. Ensure patient safety and welfare at all times.
  3. Adhere to safe work practices, particularly in radiation safety and infection control.
  4. Perform administrative tasks and contribute to departmental projects as assigned by the reporting officer/Centre In-charge.
  5. Apply the ALARA principle in all procedures.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  7. Provide prompt and courteous service delivery to internal and external customers.
  8. Contribute to the efficient running of the diagnostic centre or clinic.
  9. Participate in quality control procedures under the guidance of the reporting officer/Centre In-charge.
Secondary Responsibilities (20%)
  1. Participate in departmental committees as required.
  2. Cochrane junior/assistant radiographers in general radiographic techniques.
  3. Perform other duties assigned by the reporting officer/Centre In-charge.
Requirements
  • Recognized degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • R1 license with Centre for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Sciences, National.
  • Registration with Allied Health Professions Council.
  • Prior experience in Bone Mineral Densitometry and C-Arm imaging is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in vernacular languages.
  • Basic programming knowledge and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to participate in continuous medical education and quality assurance programs as directed by the reporting officer/Centre In-charge.
