The Global SOC operates in a 24x7, follow the sun model and is the firm's first line of defense against evolving cyber threats, ensuring the safety and integrity of our digital assets.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze security events to identify potential threats and intrusions, utilizing various logs to identify unusual behavior that may indicate malicious activity.
- Act as a Level 2 escalation point for incident triage, investigation, and response, collaborating with security infrastructure teams to ensure effective integration of security technologies with operational processes.
- Develop and maintain advanced security monitoring content, including detection rules, correlation use cases, and security alerts, to enhance monitoring value and efficiency.
- Implement and optimize security automation to improve process efficiency and response times, utilizing scripting languages such as Powershell and Python.
- Lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis, containment, and remediation efforts, and provide mentorship for junior analysts within the SOC team.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and technologies, and participate in/support cyber drills, regulatory, and audit requests.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, with a major in Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, CISM, GSEC, or similar certification.
- Strong investigative and analytical mindset with attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity operations, with a focus on Security Operations Center experience.
- Understanding of the life cycle of network threats, web attacks, attack vectors, methods of exploitation, and awareness of the evolving cyber threat landscape.
- Experience with automation and scripting, preferably in Powershell and Python, and experience with XSOAR platforms.
