Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Captain to join our team. As a Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience. You will directly impact the guest experience and be able to identify unique opportunities to delight in the day-to-day service.

The role involves preparing the restaurant for opening and closing, setting up tables with the correct number of place settings, maintaining the overall cleanliness of the restaurant at all times, and being proactive and able to anticipate guests' needs.

  • Prepare the restaurant for opening and closing by ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.

  • Set up tables with the correct number of place settings, including crockery, silverware, glasses, and napkin.

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of the restaurant at all times by ensuring that all surfaces, floors, and equipment are clean and tidy.

  • Readily stand by at the pass, to pick up dishes which are ready to be presented to the guest.

  • Be proactive and able to anticipate guests' needs by offering them water, refilling their drinks, and providing them with any additional information they may require.

  • Refresh the table with finesse once guests have finished their main course.

  • Other tasks include setting up and breaking down tables, restocking supplies, using the glassware dishwasher and other cleaning duties.
