Job Description

As a legal expert, you will provide critical guidance and support to the organization. This includes assisting in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulatory frameworks.

You will handle various corporate and commercial matters such as loan agreements, employment issues, mergers, and acquisitions. Additionally, you will perform internal compliance and reconciliation functions based on organizational policies and procedures, best practices, and statutory requirements, minimizing legal risks.

You will also provide advice to directors and business units, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ad-hoc duties as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a law degree and possess legal professional qualifications in at least one jurisdiction.
  • Have at least five to seven years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in practice and/or in-house.
  • Possess excellent legal analytical skills, including drafting and negotiation abilities.
  • Display strong business acumen to understand business goals and strategy.
  • Be solution-oriented and work collaboratively with the business to resolve and close matters.
  • Exhibit effective communication and diplomacy skills.
  • Be a good team player and able to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Be adaptable and willing to learn and grow with the organization.
