Job Title: Speech and Language Specialist

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality services to students. The role involves working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide goal-oriented treatment through direct and consultative intervention strategies.

Responsibilities:

1. ">
2. To develop and implement Speech-language Therapy programmes as part of the Department's service delivery, including programme planning timelines, and administration">
3. Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Speech-language Therapy services including peer consultation, referral delegation of clients, clinical policies and guidelines reflecting evidence-based practice and within regulatory guidelines">
4. Attend monthly meetings with the purpose of providing peer supervision, case discussion, discuss student goals and plans, communication and problem solving of Speech-language Therapy specific matters, organising/providing internal CPD">
5. Participate in regular multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations, and develop individualized education plans and intervention plans to achieve specific short term and long-term goals">
6. Collaborate with the therapy and teaching team in ensuring understanding of student Speech-language performance strengths and needs through evaluation, educational program planning, and delivery">

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and Speech-language performance within diverse school environments">
• Conduct observations, administer screening tools and provide written feedback during screening for students on trial">
• Carry out Group Therapy sessions and push-in classroom support and pull-out groups to students in every designated classroom">

Requirements:

• ">
• Tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech-language Therapy">
• Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council, Singapore">
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience">
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Teams, Outlook, Google Classroom and ability to use digital resources and educational technology">
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills">
• Able to engage effectively with staff members, children, parents and other associated professionals">
• Good time management skills">
• Problem solver with a positive and growth mindset">
• Resilient and flexible">

Deliverables:

• Achieve 90% positive overall satisfaction in Parent and Teacher Satisfaction Survey">
• 100% Integrated Therapy sessions and Group Therapy sessions are met as proposed from the start of the academic year">
• 100% response within 24 hours and action plan within five working days to respective Head of School, Head of Therapy and teachers when observations are requested and/or strategies for particular students">
• Attend 99% of working days per academic year">
