Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance, distributed trading and financial systems.

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to work in a fast-paced financial markets environment.

  • Key Requirements:
  • Strong technical expertise in Java software engineering, with excellent hands-on skills
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot, core Spring modules, and Hibernate
  • Relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL) experience, including schema design and optimisation
  • Asynchronous messaging and distributed real-time systems knowledge
  • AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms) proficiency, including CI/CD and GitLab/GitHub
  • Jira, Agile practices, and full SDLC processes understanding
  • Proven ability to deliver POCs and build automated testing frameworks for complex systems

Ideally you will have experience with financial/trading platforms and knowledge of market systems. Understanding of FIX protocol, JavaScript, serverless and microservice architectures would be an advantage. Exposure to TDD/BDD methodologies is also desirable.
