Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and carrying out preventive/condition monitoring programs in line with OEM recommendations and best industry practices.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, review and carry out preventive/condition monitoring programs
  • Monitor and review asset life expectancy
  • Identify and report plant/equipment inefficiencies and possible improvements
  • Design short-term engineering solutions to resolve problems with plant equipment
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical issues
  • Establish best practices and engineering standards in mechanical system design, analysis, and optimisation
  • Liaise with operations and maintenance staff, providing technical support
  • Manage and coordinate plant engineering projects, ensuring efficient outcomes
  • Provide training for others in technical expertise
  • Monitor maintenance program effectiveness and advise on contractor performance
Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably recognised by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore, with 10 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Skill Set:
  • Self-motivated, analytical and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of power plants or related industries and statutory requirements
  • Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of rotating and static equipment
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques and predictive maintenance tools
  • Basic understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation interfaces with mechanical systems
