Procurement Excellence Leader

We seek a seasoned procurement expert to spearhead strategic sourcing initiatives and oversee contract-related processes. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead procurement activities across various groups, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services at optimal costs.

  • Lead and supervise a team to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the procurement strategy to align with company objectives.
  • Plan, organize, and control purchasing activities for the group.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient and reliable purchasing system.
  • Conduct regular reviews of procurement needs and ensure timely fulfilment of requirements.
  • Analyse market trends, supplier offerings, and industry developments to optimise sourcing decisions.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, analyse bids, and negotiate contracts.
  • Recommend and approve supplier contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
  • Authorise purchase orders and approve payments in compliance with financial controls.
  • Manage the disposal of assets in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Ensure procurement processes adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Omitise cost-saving initiatives while ensuring high-quality purchases.
  • Provide recommendations on contract awards and establish favourable contract terms.
  • Oversee tender evaluations and procurement analysis to support strategic decision-making.
