Job Title: Senior Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team at the CAAS Next Generation Programme Office. As a key member of our Air Traffic Management System and Surveillance Projects (ATMSSP) Section, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of next-generation radar systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage radar projects, ensuring alignment with user objectives, scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with other teams for infrastructure integration, ATM integrations, and resolve deployment and integration issues.
  • Lead and liaise with technical teams to resolve impediments, incidents, and issues.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance:
  • Ensure system compliance with CAAS and Government requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Adhere to risk and safety frameworks and carry out risk and safety management for radar projects.
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting radar system delivery.
  • Support audits and address findings.
Vendor Contracting and Management:
  • Manage vendors and contractors to meet project delivery and operation needs.
  • Perform procurement of systems, including evaluation of proposed solutions.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, system suppliers, maintenance operators, and IT consultants.
  • Coordinate, liaise, support, and conduct meetings to facilitate implementation in accordance with national and international cybersecurity standards and requirements.
Requirements:
  • Trained in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management and system implementation.
  • Experience in project management, vendor management, incident management, and problem management.
  • Experience with safety-critical systems, such as radars, is preferred.
  • Knowledge or understanding of radar systems' architectures and environments.
  • Strong experience in managing business, IT, and senior stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of technical aspects of systems integration in diverse technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Government IM8 and CCoP and ATM domain is an advantage.
  • Good analytical skills, ability to multitask, and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-driven, creative, and team-oriented person with good interpersonal and organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to travel for overseas visits, meetings, and training.

Your appointment designation will be commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, with the possibility of permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
