Job Summary

GOSSTECH PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high availability database systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Implementation
    • Design and implement high availability database systems using PostgreSQL and other related technologies.
    • Develop and maintain database monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Database Operations and Maintenance
    • Perform daily database monitoring, operation, and maintenance tasks to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
    • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Database Security and Compliance
    • Implement and maintain database security controls to ensure data integrity and security.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
    • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster.
    • Implement and test disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and minimal downtime.
  • Team Collaboration and Support
    • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on database-related issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for a junior position.
  • Skills
    • PostgreSQL, database monitoring, DB automation system, technical support, HA DB environment, production database testing.
    • Familiar with SQL statement, performance tuning, and troubleshooting application issues.
    • Strong Knowledge in DB security control.
    • Team player and able to work independently.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Senior Executive specialized in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
