We are seeking a talented Radio Systems Engineer to join our team in designing and implementing advanced digital trunked radio systems for MRT/LRT communications.

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for creating robust digital trunked radio systems that meet the needs of high-performance rail networks. This will involve thoroughly analysing project requirements, translating them into functional radio system designs, and ensuring alignment with project specifications and client needs.

The role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as experience with Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) technologies. Additionally, exceptional multitasking capabilities and the ability to deliver results under pressure are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement digital trunked radio systems tailored for MRT/LRT communications
  • Analyse project requirements and translate them into functional radio system designs
  • Study, understand, and undertake system IT network design and architecture drawings for optimal RF cable routing and RF coverage design
  • Conduct RF intermodulation/interference studies and EMC/EMI assessments
  • Undertake cell planning and RF link budgets to ensure robust radio system performance
  • Engage in comprehensive system integration activities, interfacing seamlessly with other sub-systems
  • Ensure all project requirements are met satisfactorily while obtaining essential client concurrence
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related engineering domain. You should also have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as experience with FRMCS technologies.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in generating technical documentation and detailed design drawings are also essential.

Reporting Relationship and Work Location

Possession of a valid passport and the ability to obtain necessary visas for international travel are required.
