Job Title: Senior Cost Planning Specialist

Role Summary:

  • Deliver accurate cost plans and pricing strategies based on project requirements and market conditions.
  • Develop preliminary cost estimates and detailed cost breakdowns, including analyzing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure costing aligns with contractual requirements and project specifications, through coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and compile tender submission documents, including BOQ, pricing schedules, and supporting data, while ensuring all documentation complies with client requirements and submission deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study and analyze tender documents, including drawings, specifications, bill of quantities (BOQ), and contract conditions.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and models, using digital take-off tools as required.
  • Source and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, to inform cost planning decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather technical inputs and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to obtain accurate cost information and quotations.
  • Attend tender clarification meetings and site visits when necessary, to ensure effective communication and risk management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in tendering, cost estimation, or pre-contract quantity surveying.
  • Experience in handling large-scale or mega project tenders, preferably with a Main Contractor background.
  • Knowledge in BIM-based take-off and digital estimation tools, with a strong analytical and numerical skillset.
  • Proficient in quantity take-off software and Microsoft Excel, with excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with various standard forms of contract, with a detail-oriented approach and ability to work under tight deadlines.
