About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Science Support Assistant in our educational institution.

">

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Science department. Your primary responsibility will be to assist teachers with science-related events and projects.

">

Some of your duties will include preparing materials for science lessons, setting up apparatus and equipment, assisting in invigilation of practical exams, maintaining cleanliness of science labs, and ensuring adherence to safety practices.

">

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining stock records and equipment lists, performing routine servicing and maintenance of equipment, and caring for fauna and flora within the science department.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory equipment, chemical preparation, disposal procedures, and spill cleanup. They should also possess basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as classroom procedure knowledge and experience working in a school setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Laboratory Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory equipment, chemical preparation, disposal procedures, and spill cleanup.">
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.">
  • Classroom Procedure Knowledge: Understanding of classroom procedures, including facilitating science experiments and group work.">
  • Experience Working in Schools: Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably in a primary school lab.">
