Township Manager Role

The key objective of this position is to effectively manage the administration and operations of the Town Council, ensuring seamless execution and implementation of policies, projects, and initiatives that enhance the living environment and quality of life in public housing estates.
This role involves overseeing a team to deliver services according to contract specifications, achieving financial targets set by stakeholders, maintaining customer relations, and assisting the team in growing township business.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the administration and operations of the Town Council efficiently and effectively.
- Lead a team to administer and manage the affairs of the Town Council.
- Play a critical role in enabling the town council to execute and implement policies, projects, and initiatives.
- Oversee the team to ensure delivery of services according to contract specifications.
- Achieve financial targets set by stakeholders.
- Maintain customer relations and ensure targets set by the Town Council are met.
- Assist the team to grow township business.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership skills, analytical abilities, autonomy, and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you should have experience in facilities management, accounting, contracts administration, legislations, and statutory requirements related to township properties.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management or a relevant business degree.
- At least 10 years of experience in a leadership capacity managing teams and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in township/Grassroot experience (liaising with MP, Grassroot leaders, Residents) is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting, contracts administration, legislations, and statutory requirements related to township properties.
