Job Overview

GAIN CITY ENGINEERING (M&E) PTE LTD is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of projects.

About the Role

This senior quantity surveying position involves leading pre- and post-contract activities, including taking-off quantities, cost control, variations, finalization of costs, and tender administrative duties. You will be responsible for preparing and monitoring tender documents, contracts, budgets, claims, bills of quantities, and site-related documentation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions. Experience as a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer is highly valued, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quantity surveys, including measuring and estimating materials, labor, and equipment costs
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, finances, and compliance
  • Prepare detailed reports on project performance, highlighting areas of improvement and opportunities for cost savings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Provide expert advice on cost management, contract administration, and risk mitigation strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, methods, and techniques
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
