Job Summary:
Abbott is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Specialist to join its team.

Main Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for executing warehouse policies and procedures, implementing safety, quality, and operational excellence programs in the warehouse. They will also be responsible for training internal warehouse personnel and outsourced service providers, receiving and dispatching materials, and processing inbound and outbound deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
  • Train internal warehouse personnel and outsourced service providers on warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Receive and dispatch materials, and process inbound and outbound deliveries according to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update the purchase order system as shipments are received, cancelled, or back-ordered.
  • Ensure the orderly stocking and efficient flow of both inbound and outbound materials/products.
  • Manage inventory levels, including material receiving, put-away, and issuance to production.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and inaccuracies.
  • Develop and implement inventory control techniques to ensure accurate and timely inventory management.
  • Manage inventory paperwork and documentation, including cycle counts, scrap, and returns.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Abbott quality and product safety standards.
  • Meet AMS safety standards and quality standards.
  • Timely fulfillment of orders.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety programs or actions in the warehouse area.
  • Investigate safety incidents and close CAPA actions in a timely manner.
  • Prepare for audits, attend to audits, and close CAPA actions from audits.
  • Manage waste materials collection from Abbott and ensure proper waste management practices.
  • Manage outsource service providers (3PL) to ensure compliance with related policies and procedures.
  • Ensure 3PL capability to support continuity of business activities and ensure 3PL achieves performance to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure onsite contractors are trained and qualified for the job.
  • Ensure warehouse operations are compliant to safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper material control and handling methods are in place.
  • Investigate and improve site processes that impact 3PL material movement and inventory control.
  • Responsible for periodic review of 3PL warehouse process to ensure safe and compliant operations to procedures.
  • Roll out established systems and procedures to the shop floor.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in warehouse operations in a manufacturing plant.
  • Experience in food/pharmaceutical/GMP plant preferred.
  • CIP/Warehouse Excellence and material control experience advantageous.
  • Well-versed in SOP/CAPA writing.
  • Inventory control techniques, MS office tools, warehouse operations management skills.
