About the Role
We are building out our Singapore Data Engineering team, offering a unique opportunity to be part of a global Tier 1 Investment Bank. As a Real-time Market Data Engineer, you will be a key member of an industry-leading community spanning New York, Dallas, Sydney, and Bangalore.

Job Description
As a Real-time Market Data Engineer, you will design, engineer, deploy, troubleshoot, patch, and fix software and infrastructure while innovating on core platform design and architecture. You will engage with global teams to establish and evolve best practices for operational excellence, including availability, scalability, reliability, resiliency, and performance. Your responsibilities will include solving problems in order of business value, understanding that technical and business perfection are often competing goals, and engaging with vendors, exchanges, and internal businesses on impact and delivery of upcoming changes. Additionally, you will gather and analyze metrics from both infrastructure and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding, positively contribute to continuous technical development of the team, and deliver complex, business-critical infrastructure projects.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, System Admin, or equivalent role, with a desire to learn more. You should be able to code or script using an SLDC environment, such as gitlab CI/CD, and have familiarity with Infrastructure as Code processes and tooling. A strong understanding of Network and OS Linux fundamentals is also essential. An understanding of the operational concerns in a demanding environment, ideally but not necessarily capital markets, is desired. Resilience under pressure, a mindset of continuous improvement, and a desire to provide excellent service are also required. Proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, performance bottlenecks, etc., live service monitoring, logging, intelligent alerting, self-healing (network, server, and application), maintaining live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health, and ability to adapt and be open-minded without compromising core values and standards are all important skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Financial markets/trading business knowledge, knowledge of market data products (e.g., Refinitiv (TREP), Exegy, Activ Financial, BPIPE, ITRS), experience with large-scale/high-frequency/low-latency distributed applications, and experience or knowledge of containerization and cloud deployment (e.g., in AWS or GCP) are preferred qualifications.

What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary: SGD $120,000 - SGD $180,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
