Network Infrastructure Specialist Job

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned network engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in FortiGate firewalls, Checkpoint firewalls, and Cisco L2/L3 networking.

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls for optimal performance and security.
  • Support the installation and configuration of Checkpoint firewalls to ensure seamless integration with our network architecture.
  • Manage and maintain Cisco Layer 2/Layer 3 devices, including switches and routers, to guarantee efficient data transmission.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance and availability to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across multi-vendor environments, utilizing strong analytical skills to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Implement and manage firewall policies, VPNs, and security rules to safeguard our network from potential threats.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated expertise in FortiGate firewalls, with a strong track record of successful deployments and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with Checkpoint firewalls, with a solid understanding of their configuration and management requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of Cisco L2/L3 technologies, including routing, switching, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and STP.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues through logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with VPN, NAT, IPS/IDS, and security best practices to ensure robust network protection.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or Check Point CCSA/CCSE to demonstrate advanced technical expertise.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, and WAN optimization to stay ahead of the curve in network architecture.
  • Awareness of network monitoring tools to streamline issue detection and resolution.
  • Scripting and automation skills to enhance network efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field to provide a solid foundation in networking principles.
  • At least 3-6 years of relevant network engineering experience, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
