Job Title: Dishwasher (Central Kitchen)

About the Role

This is a key position within our kitchen team responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Wash and Sanitize Equipment: Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment to ensure they are free from food residue and bacterial contamination.
  • Storage and Organization: Ensure that all items are stored in their proper places after cleaning to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain Workspace: Maintain the dishwashing area, sinks, and floor clean and organized to prevent accidents and maintain a healthy environment.
  • Waste Disposal: Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage appropriately to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Report any faulty or damaged equipment to the supervisor promptly to prevent downtime and maintain efficiency.
  • Food Safety: Follow food safety and hygiene standards in a Halal kitchen environment to ensure the highest quality of food production.
  • Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company as required.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is highly desirable.
  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit; able to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads (up to 20kg).
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with minimal supervision.
  • Reliability: Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Able to Work Weekends: Able to work on weekend/public holidays as required.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 0900hrs - 1800hrs and Saturday 0900hrs - 1300hrs.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Multitasking: Able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Water Handling: Experienced in handling water and water-related equipment.
  • Food Safety Certification: Possess a valid food safety certification.
  • Restaurant Experience: Previous experience working in restaurants or food service environments.
  • Independence: Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Housekeeping: Experienced in housekeeping and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Pressure Management: Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Catering Experience: Previous experience working in catering or related industries.
  • Hospitality Industry: Experienced in the hospitality industry with a focus on customer service.
  • Customer Service: Possess excellent customer service skills and able to provide exceptional service to customers.
